HOW TO CONNECT A DO35 HITCH

The DO35 Hitch from Cruisemaster is an industry leader and essential for anyone who plans to take their adventures off-road. Weight-rated up to 3.5T, the DO35 features a fully articulating neck that allows it to move with the changing terrain, reducing the chance of your caravan disconnecting from your tow vehicle or causing it to roll over.

In this video, we show you how to connect your DO35 hitch to your caravan, but if you don’t have time to watch it, we’ve also included a step-by-step guide below.

Step 1: Ensure your DO35 coupling is positioned directly over your tow ball.

Step 2: Remove the rubber dust cap and push the red locking button – this will allow you to slide back the mounting plate.

Step 3: Slide back the mounting plate and wind down the jockey wheel to lower the coupling onto the tow ball.

Step 4: Once the coupling is on the tow ball, wind down the jockey wheel all the way so that the tow ball is bearing the full weight of the caravan.’

Step 5: Press the red locking button again to secure the mounting plate around the tow ball, locking it in place.

Step 6: Cover the tow ball and mounting plate with the rubber dust cap, stow the jockey wheel (you can check out our guide for stowing your jockey wheel here) double-check that your caravan is securely attached with the safety chain and plug, and get ready to hit the road!
