Privacy Policy
This policy explains how we handle your personal information. It covers this website, fantasycaravan.com.au, and the Fantasy Club app and members’ area at club.fantasycaravan.com.au.
The sections immediately below describe this website. The app is dealt with separately under The Fantasy Club App, and where that section differs from the rest of this policy, that section governs.

We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information”.
We collect Device Information using the following technologies
– “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.

– “Web beacons”, “tags”, and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.
Additionally when you submit a contact form make an enquiry or attempt to request a brochure through our website, we collect certain information from you, including your name, postcode, email address, and phone number.
How do we use your personal information?
We use the Personal Information that we collect generally to fulfill any enquiry placed through the website (including managing contact forms, arranging inspection and sending brochures through email). Additionally, we use this Personal Information to:
– Communicate with you;
– Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
– When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
– The website uses a session-recording / analytics tool (such as Microsoft Clarity) to monitor and improve site performance
– Some data may be processed by Microsoft on servers located outside Australia
– Sensitive information entered into forms (e.g. names, contact details, finance information) is automatically masked and not included in recordings
We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).
Where we send your data?
We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. For example, we use Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use our website. Data retention
We keep the information you send us through this website — for example the name, postcode, email address and phone number you give us in an enquiry or a brochure request — for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and any ongoing relationship with you, unless you ask us to delete it. Retention of Fantasy Club app data is dealt with in section 6 of The Fantasy Club App.
What rights you have over your data?
You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it or to delete it. This does not include any information we are required to keep for administrative, legal or security reasons. For a Fantasy Club account, see sections 6 and 7 of The Fantasy Club App.
The Fantasy Club App
This section applies to the Fantasy Club app and club.fantasycaravan.com.au, the members’ area for people who have bought a Fantasy Caravan. Where it differs from the rest of this policy, this section governs. In particular: the app contains no advertising, and we use no analytics, advertising-tracking or profiling tools of our own in it. The “Behavioural advertising” section above, and the Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity tools named under “Where we send your data”, describe this website only. Neither is present in the app.
1. What we hold
Your account. Your name, your email address, your phone number if you give us one, and your sign-in details. Passwords are stored only as a cryptographic hash, and for a passkey we keep only its public key. We never hold your password or your passkey’s private key, and cannot recover either.
Your caravans. The chassis number (VIN) of each caravan on your account, and how and when it came to be there. This decides which caravans you can see.
Your devices. For each device you sign in on: information about the device and the app on it, including identifiers; when it was last used; and its approximate location, worked out from its IP address. If you allow notifications, we also keep the token used to send them to that device. You can see your devices in the app and sign any of them out.
What you add. What you record in the app, such as trips, journal entries, photos and service records, and the details of any ownership transfer, including the name and email address of the person you transfer a caravan to. Some records belong to the caravan rather than to you, such as its service history and how far it has travelled: if the caravan passes to a new owner, they can see those. Your journal entries, routes and photos are visible to you alone.
Location. The app uses your device’s location only while you use a feature that needs it, such as recording a trip, and only with your permission. What such a feature records, such as a trip’s route, is kept with what you add. Photos have their location removed before they are sent to us.
Logs. Our servers keep records of requests and errors for a limited time, for security and fault diagnosis. We do not use them to build a profile of you.
We hold no payment details of any kind. The app has no payments in it.
2. Where it comes from
Your account is created from the invitation link in your purchase contract email; there is no public sign-up. Everything in section 1 comes from you or is generated by the service as you use it. Information about your caravan, such as its build progress and handover, comes from our own production systems.
3. What we use it for
To run the app for you: to sign you in, show you your caravans, keep what you record, run ownership transfers, and send you the emails and notifications the service needs; and to keep the service secure and working.
That is all. There is no advertising in this app. We use no analytics, tracking, profiling or advertising tools of our own in it, and we do not sell, rent or trade your information.
4. Who else is involved
We use service providers to run the app: to host our servers, database and files, send email and notifications, distribute app updates, and protect and route network traffic. We give each of them only what its service requires.
Some content comes straight from another provider when you open it, such as maps and videos. Your device then connects to that provider, which receives your IP address and information about your device, under its own privacy policy.
Product information, images and manuals come from our own website, fantasycaravan.com.au, and carry nothing about your account.
Overseas disclosure. What we hold is stored in Australia, in Sydney. Some of the providers above, such as those that deliver notifications and app updates, carry network traffic, or provide maps and videos, operate from or process information in other countries, mainly the United States.
5. How we protect it
All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted. Passwords, sign-in tokens and confirmation codes are stored only as hashes, so a copy of our database would not yield a working credential. Files you add are kept in private storage that only our servers can read. On a phone, your sign-in is kept in the phone’s secure storage. Access to our systems is limited to the staff who need it.
6. Keeping it, and deleting it
We keep your information while your account is open. You can delete your account in the app under Account, or at club.fantasycaravan.com.au/account/manage without installing anything. We confirm the request with a code sent to your email address, then hold the account for seven days, during which you can cancel from the same page. After that we permanently delete your account and what you added to it.
Two kinds of record are kept against a caravan’s chassis number rather than against you, so that its history stays intact for whoever owns it next: when it changed hands, and its build progress. Once your account is deleted, they no longer refer to you.
7. Getting at it, and correcting it
You can change your name and phone number in the app at any time. Your email address is the one your invitation was sent to and is changed by asking us, so that an account cannot be moved to another address without a person checking. You may ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, using the contact below.
8. Complaints
Write to us at [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
9. Children
The club is for people who have purchased a caravan. The app is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
