Caravan Warranty

This document outlines the warranty coverage provided by Fantasy Caravan. Please read it carefully. By purchasing a caravan from Fantasy Caravan, you acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions below.

Warranty Periods

  • Lifetime Drawbar & Chassis Warranty – Fatigue only (Applicable ONLY to Frontier and Fury series).
  • 5-Year Structural Warranty covers Chassis & Drawbar: Applicable to all other models.
  • 1-Year Manufacturer’s Warranty

 

Terms and Conditions

  • The warranty period will commence on the date of delivery of the caravan.
  • Warranties are non-transferable and do not apply to rental or commercial use.
  • Tents are covered for a period of 12 months from the date of delivery of the caravan.
  • Damage resulting from unauthorised modifications or repairs is excluded from warranty.
  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, accidents, improper installation of accessories, or failure to maintain the caravan is not covered.
  • All warranty work must be performed by Fantasy Caravan or an authorised repairer, after inspection and approval.
  • Repairs or replacements not covered under warranty will be charged at the current hourly rate. Customers will receive a cost estimate before work begins.
  • The manufacturer may use replacement parts of similar quality and design if identical parts are not available.
  • Product designs and components may change without notice. These changes do not constitute a warranty claim.
  • Warranty repairs will be carried out within a reasonable timeframe, subject to parts availability, repair location, and supplier constraints.
  • This warranty does not cover call-out services. If work is required at the customer’s chosen location, a call-out fee will apply.
  • Transportation of the caravan for inspection or repair is the responsibility of the customer. If a defect is confirmed, reasonable transport costs may be reimbursed with receipts.
  • If no defect is found, inspection, testing, and return costs are payable by the customer.

Your responsibilities

To maintain warranty coverage, you must:

  • Use and maintain your caravan as outlined in the owner’s manual.
  • Complete and record regular servicing.
  • Return the caravan to our dealership or an authorised repairer for assessment at your expense (“back-to-base” warranty).
  • Pay for any additional or non-warranty repairs requested.

Exclusions – Where Coverage Does Not Apply

This warranty does not cover:

  • Use for permanent residential purposes.
  • Accident damage or misuse.
  • Normal wear and tear, including stone chips, paint damage, zips, screens, and consumables (e.g. tyres, bulbs, bearings).
  • Rust, wheels, and tyres.
  • Damage caused by operating the vehicle beyond its design intent, or through abuse and inappropriate speeds on unsealed roads.
  • Red dust/bulldust damage resulting from unmaintained seals or lack of appropriate dust reduction measures.
  • Costs for transport, accommodation, towing, or recovery relating to warranty claims.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
