An essential piece of equipment on any caravan, the jockey wheel allows you to manoeuvre your van with ease. In order to undo and safely stow the jockey wheel on your Fantasy Caravan, watch the video above or read our guide below.
Step 1: Once your caravan is securely hitched to the tow ball with the safety chain fastened, wind the jockey wheel down to lower the caravan’s weight completely onto the tow ball.
Step 2: Once the jockey wheel has been wound down completely and all the weight is off the wheel, pull out the retention handles on the left and right side of the wheel.
Step 3: Remove the handle from the pillar of the jockey wheel and set it to one side.
Step 4: Rotate the jockey wheel anti-clockwise, so the wheel swings up and nestles underneath the stone guard at the front of the caravan.
Step 5: Push the retention handles back into place and wiggle the wheel to ensure that it is secure.
Step 6: Stow the handle safely in your vehicle or caravan, and get ready to hit the road.
